Not happy about your healthcare? Here’s what to do…

The healthcare we receive in Australia is world class. But, unfortunately, sometimes things can go a little wrong. Many people don’t know quite where to turn when something has gone wrong with their medical care. Perhaps, their care was fine but they have been treated poorly or not listened to by health professionals.

Giving feedback and sharing the experience of your care and treatment is important. Some of you may feel daunted and afraid of doing so. In speaking up, you are helping to improve the quality of care in healthcare facilities.

These videos from the Australian Commission for Safety and Quality in Healthcare gives clear guidance about what to do and who to talk to first if you need further information or wish to give feedback or complain about the healthcare you receive.

Remember, everyone has a right to complain. Be heard.
