Before You Can Set Up Your First Chest
- As you set up your Chest, you’ll provide details about the information you are storing, such as what it is, where it is and why it’s important. You can even leave a personal message for your Trustee/s and attach documents, photos etc.
- All the information you type into your Chests is encrypted.
- You can use the names we suggest for your Chests or you can choose your own. You are completely in control here.
- Choose between one and three Trustees for each Chest. To add your Trustees, you’ll need their name exactly as it appears on their photo identification and their contact information. Your Trustees will also be asked to complete an identity check every time they are required to access your Chest.
- A Trustee can only access the specified Chests you nominate and no other. Each Trustee will receive an email from Secure My Treasures that confirms their status as a Trustee.
- You can change the contents of your Chests and the number and names of your Trustees at any time.
- You will need to update specified Chests when a Trustee changes their name or any other information that is integral to a successful ID check.
- Note that you can still subscribe to Secure My Treasures without assigning Trustees.
